Due to the uneven curvature of the cornea, light rays are imaged in the eye in several focal lines instead of in one focal point. Depending on the degree of astigmatism, objects near and far appear distorted.

Which treatment methods are possible?
Astigmatism can be corrected. The basis of a decision is always the medical results of our particularly detailed preliminary examination and a thorough consultation. In many cases, astigmatism can be corrected fast and painless through laser eye treatment, but other procedures are also available.
